Executive Profile: Joe Carlisle
Joe Carlisle is an experienced business litigator that regularly represents clients in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate level. His practice is focused on business and property disputes, as well as emerging businesses, small business transactions, leases and business advice.
Joe’s diverse background has included representing clients in business disputes, real estate matters, healthcare matters, breach of contract and fraud claims, and anti-trust and RICO litigation. In recent years, he has specialized in business start-ups, shareholder disputes, healthcare and veterinary business sectors, and advising long term care companies with their collection matters within the complex regulatory framework that they operate. He has represented local, regional, national and international businesses and associations, and also appeared before a variety of administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals.
Joe’s litigation record exemplifies his commitment to his clients, having successfully defeated anti-trust, securities fraud, Stark law, Medicare fraud and Qui-Tam claims. He has also been successful in a wide variety of unique matters ranging from challenging the passage of legislation and administrative rules detrimental to his clients’ businesses, to obtaining a refund of nearly one million dollars in improperly assessed excise taxes, to prosecuting computer fraud and abuse claims. Joe represents his clients with the dedication, knowledge and understanding necessary to navigate through difficult circumstances in a cost-effective manner. He does this while keeping clients’ goals at the forefront of his work.
Outside of the office, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, practicing Pilates, playing guitar and mandolin, running, hiking with at least one of his three dogs, snowboarding, and pulling for his beloved Florida Gators.
